The American Council of Learned Societies protests the legislation proposed in the Florida House Bill 999 and call on citizens to recognize the danger it poses to higher education in this country. 

ACLS invites individual members of our community including members of our learned societies, faculty and students at our member institutions, fellows and grantees, and allies and friends to sign this statement to affirm their support for sustaining academic freedom in higher education.
