Last week, in Jerusalem, the Patriarch with the Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem consecrated the Chrism oil that will be used in the Coronation of King Charles III.
Local elections on 4 May
People who vote at a polling station now need to show photo ID to receive a ballot paper. A new form of free ID, a Voter Authority Certificate, can be used at elections. The deadline to apply for a Certificate is 5pm on Tuesday 25 April. Applications can be submitted through the online portal.

The Revd Canon Ian Bussell is to become Director of Mission and Ministry for the Diocese of Exeter. He leaves his post as Head of Ministerial Development and Deputy Director of Mission and Ministry at the Diocese of Gloucester on 1 May 2023.
The Revd Natalie Garrett is to become Associate Priest of Bishop’s Cleeve and Woolstone with Gotherington and Oxenton Benefice. Natalie will be licensed by the Bishop of Gloucester on Sunday 19 March 2023 at 3pm.
