Call for volunteers: Adaire Science Fair is March 29

We need a handful of volunteers to help students get their science fair projects properly stored on school premises before the Science Fair takes place on March 29.

Students will begin dropping off projects March 28 at drop off and pickup, so we need a handful of volunteers for each time slot.

March 29 additional volunteers are needed to collect and help set up final projects before the Science Fair begins at 9 a.m.

We also need around 10 folding tables to borrow from March 28-30 (Students will be taking their projects home after presenting to families the evening of March 29).

Animal Education at Adaire

Barn Hill Preserve is coming to Adaire for a one time event! They will be at Adaire on Friday, March 10. They strive to educate students about animals from wild places across the world by bringing the zoo to your school! Their enthusiastic animal experts, who are experienced in the fields of wildlife rehabilitation, zoological conservation and captive breeding programs, will give a 45-minute presentation to grades K-5.

Students need to have a signed permission slip before the event. Click here to view the permission slip. Students also have the option to take a photo with the animals for an additional charge. Be sure to return the permission slips by Wednesday, March 8 to the main office.

We are looking to find more ways to keep our students engaged during indoor recess. If you have any old, intact board games or want to purchase new ones and donate them, it would be greatly appreciated. Reach out to the main office if you have any donations. Thanks for all your support!

Adaire Library Book Donations

Over the past few months the library has gone through a transformation. Old books have been replaced with more updated titles and copies. But we aren’t finished yet!

We are still hoping to obtain popular books and missing books in a Series.

If anyone has any books listed on the library WISH LIST and could donate them to our library

it would be greatly appreciated. Please email our library volunteers at adairelibraryvolunteers@gmail.com so we can remove it from our list and coordinate a drop off at school or a pickup at your house.
