When I say "Big things are happening", I mean BIG THINGS!
In 2010 and 2011, I created 2 murals in the Downtown Canton Ohio Arts District that now are in need of being refurbished. They are community murals that are enjoyed by local and international visitors who visit America's Hall of Fame City. I am inviting the community to help me with the process of refurbishing them and restoring them to their original glory.
A group of high school students are working with me to do the refinishing and repainting. These students are amazingly talented, and they demonstrate how persons with disabilities can do incredible things.
You are invited to assist with the project as well! We have a GofundMe fundraiser set up to assist us with purchasing paint and other needed items for the project. Anyone who contributes to the project becomes one of BZTAT's Cool Cats! We would love to consider you one of the Cool Cat partners on the project.
Thank you for your support! Not only are you helping the murals come back to life, you are helping some nontraditional artists engage in the opportunity of a lifetime!
“Abstract is Real” Art Exhibit
I like to make my gallery a collaborative experience for various artists. So when I wanted to create and show some abstract works myself, I invited some of my artist friends to do the same. The end result is an amazing grouping of artworks, ranging from completely non-representational pieces to photography that challenges the notion of reality.
The exhibit opens on March 3 and closes on May 27, 2023. An opening reception will be held during First Friday on March 3 from 5 - 9 PM.
Explore various dimensions of reality and abstraction in this ensemble of abstract artworks created by local artists from the Canton, OH area. Artists featured include: Aimee Lambes, Sally Priscilla Lytle, Dave Kuntzman, Sarah Winther Shumaker, Christopher Triner, David Dingwell, Stephen Tornero, Emily Ritchey Vigil, and Chris Wurst, and BZTAT.
The exhibit features paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures created by some of the best artists in the region. You can read more about the exhibit here.
