WEDNESDAY PRAYER SERVICE
We hope you can join us tonight for our weekly prayer gathering. We meet at 7 PM in the sanctuary. Together, let's seek his face and hear his voice.
BAPTISM MEETING
Each year we celebrate baptisms on Easter Sunday. If you are considering baptism, we would love to talk with you at our informational meeting this Sunday, March 5 at 11:30 AM in room 108.  Please let us know you're exploring this joyous sacrament by contacting Pastor Kathy this week.
PRAYER ROOM during LENT
This year for Lent, we are encouraging a slowed down spirituality with sweet times of prayer. Our 40-Day Prayer Room is open.  This is an inviting, beautiful and quiet space, with interactive self-reflective and missional prayer stations to walk through individually or together as home groups or families.  It is self-paced and builds as people visit. Join in praying for the requests that our community has written down on our Wall of Hope. Join in praying for each person to encounter Jesus in this space. To prevent over-crowding and to ensure the space will be unlocked, we are asking for individuals, families and home groups to sign up ahead of time. The rooms will be offered the following days/times:
Sunday 2-6 PM
Monday 10 AM-2 PM & 7-9 PM
Tuesday 4-7 PM
Wednesday 7 AM-12 PM
Thursday 10 AM-2 PM & 7-9 PM
Friday 4 PM-9 PM
Saturday 7-11 AM
Please sign-up for specific times here.  Any additional questions or requests for another time, please contact Judy Duncan.
WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
Women of Wellspring, let's discover together how the sweet the presence of Christ brings joy, no matter the season. We will share together, then turn our gaze toward Him that we might also be filled with the oil of gladness.  We get to host this special event on Saturday, April 29 from 10 am -2 pm, $10 per person. This is a day led by our own Midwest District of the C&MA! Register online here.
ROCK PARENTS SAVE THE DATE!
Our 5th/6th grade children will be serving at Feed My Starving Children on Saturday morning March 11. Meet at the church at 8:00 am and pick-up at 11:30 am. Please RSVP for your child and sign up to help with serving a continental breakfast by contacting Kim
MISSIONS UPDATE
After the devastating earthquakes that hit Syria and Turkey, the number of those lost has risen to over 40,000. C&MA's Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA) Services is currently helping to get aid into Turkey through Alliance church partners while CAMA has been working to get funds into Syria to help Alliance churches purchase aid as they care for the victims of these earthquakes within their church buildings. Wellspring has contributed $10,000 from the basecamp fund to assist in this work.

Let's lift up Robert & Roberta Adair serving with Asian Access in Japan

Robert and Roberta Adair (along with their four boys Joseph - 8, Benjamin - 6, Anderson - 4, and Timothy - 2), have served in northeast Japan since 2012.

Their primary ministry is partnering with Shiogama Bible Baptist Church to share Christ in word and deed in Higashi Shiogama. Practically they do this by building relationships in the community, teaching English, leading Bible studies, and helping to facilitate a bi-monthly worship service for people in the community.

Robert also serves as missionary director for Asian Access in Japan. He is focused on helping the 23 A2 missionaries partner well with the church in Japan to multiply disciples.

Please praise God and pray for the following with Robert and Roberta. They write:
  1. For Robert: balancing local and organizational ministry; leading with wisdom, faith, integrity, and kindness.
  2. For Roberta: spending time wisely now that our 4 boys are in Japanese elementary school and daycare.
  3. For the boys: learning both English and Japanese, friends with good character, spiritual growth.
  4. For our relationship with our Japanese church: that we can be an encouragement to them and partner well with them.
  5. For new and old friends: we have been excited over the last several months to see spiritual interest among several people. Please pray that we would know how to engage these friends.

THIS SUNDAY @ WHEATON
Born Again
John 3: 1-17

Pastor Mitch Kim

Often the biggest barrier to genuine faith is our comfort. As Jesus performed many signs in his day, the curiosity of many were aroused. Though many “believed in his name” (John 2:23–25), it was a cheap faith that was not genuine and did not last (cf. John 6:68). Jesus is not interested in the passing popularity of the crowds; he wants to cultivate genuine and lasting faith. Today, as well, it is easy to stay within the comfort of curiosity without entering the challenge of genuine and lasting faith. In John 3 Jesus beckons Nicodemus out of his comfort towards genuine faith, and he invites us toward the same. How? Jesus confronts our comfort and colors our imagination to invite us to genuine faith.
