The countdown is on for my next trip to Tanzania! This is my first trip of 2023 and I'm overjoyed to be heading back to my "second home".
I'll be leaving on March 8 with my 2 sisters for a few days in Tanzania before the rest of the team arrives. I'm not sure if Tanzania is ready for the 3 sisters, but here we come!

We'll meet the rest of the team when they arrive on March 13. The first week with the full team we'll facilitate a two day leaders seminar with pastors and strong believers from 4 villages. Then we will spend a few days in the villages, discipling new believers and strengthening the two new churches that were established during our Sept. trip.
Some of the team will depart for home on March 21. Five of us will stay on until March 27. During this second week we'll travel to a new mission point in the west Tanga. This will be the first touch in this unreached area. We're planning to meet with a group to cast vision and use an introduction of Community Transformation to help build relationships and conduct assessments in order to develop an appropriate evangelism strategy.

March 21: Some team members depart for US; 5 of us stay in Tanzania

March 23 - 25: Exploring new mission points in west Tanga region, vision casting and Community Transformation
March 26: Travel day
March 27: Team departs for US
A few additional things you pray about for us:
Pray for unity with our US and Tanzania team, that we are of one heart and mind.
Pray for God's will to be done in these people group areas and the local churches have a burden and vision to reach the unreached around them.
Pray for our time during the extended stay, that we find persons of peace who receive us and the message of Jesus's love and hope that we bring.
Pray against opposition. We know the enemy comes to deceive, discourage and interfere with these good works.
Pray that we have increased discernment and are attentive to the Holy Spirit who will guide us in all truth.
I love experiencing God in new and deeper ways every time I go to Tanzania. I'm constantly amazed at how the Holy Spirit creates ways for us to communicate with the people even though we don't speak the same language. Sometimes it's simply a smile, or stumbling through reading a Bible story in Swahili!
I say this all the time - your prayers are the most important work that goes before and with us. Prayer can be simple but powerful, and I'm so thankful for your steadfastness in always praying for us!
