I suspect that if you have given anything up for Lent it probably isn’t the mirror. Most of us during Lent will look in the mirror at least once a day, and I wonder if this in itself might be the reminder we need to allow Lent to be a time when we look beyond the surface of our external reflection and discover more of who we are within, and who God is, who knows us inside out and loves us....

Gloucester Cathedral is holding two Lent courses - one in person, one online, over six weeks. Open to all.
 
2 March: The Uneasy Sleeps of Max Maxwell
Are you interested in Artificial Intelligence and how it is increasingly part of our lives? Or want to think more about science and faith? Riding Lights Theatre Company will be performing a new one-act play by Richard Hasnip, followed by conversations with leading scientists.

On BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Sunday Breakfast, Bill Crooks speaks to Jon Smith about his involvement in The Clewer Initiative's multi-media resource, Journeys, which aims to equip and inspire people in the fight against modern slavery.

Henrietta Cozens, from St Catharine's Gloucester, also joined Jon to talk about the church's flourishing relationship with asylum seekers through English classes.

  • The Revd Canon Andrew Zihni will be installed as Dean of Gloucester at Gloucester Cathedral on Sunday 23 April 2023 at 3pm.
