OUT OF GARBAGE / WASTE TO DRESS
In cooperation with the one world foundation, the designers Bettina Reichl, Irma Denk, Xiane Kangela and Steffen Pirkl held a month-long workshop with around 40 women in Sri Lanka, which was about making fashion out of garbage.
The participants are trained in the tailoring workshop of the one world foundation in Ahungalla, they have created clothes from washed-up waste and presented them in a fashion show. A blog documents the creation of the models as an online diary, from collecting the materials to the show.

WHAT'S UP, CHRISTOPH RUMPF?
In our series Wie schaut's aus, ...? we present creative people in the field of fashion from and working in Austria and let them tell what is currently moving them. How do they work, what are they reading, what music do they choose as a soundtrack through life and what else is going on?
Today, fashion designer Christoph Rumpf lets us take a look behind the scenes of his work and life in Paris. In his collections, he celebrates masculinity and femininity in equal measure and uses high-quality, natural fabrics such as flea market finds and materials from stocks.
Here he tells how he starts his day, who his fashion icon is and - watch out! - he also provides a real earworm! (in German only)
