We're 10 weeks away from May 4 & 5 and Give Local York Big Give Day 2023. These weekly emails will keep you up to date on what you need to know to plan for the big day! Catch up on any emails you may have missed in our Email Archive!

The Big Day
We've had some questions about what May 4 & 5 and Give Day will look like this year and we can share some of the details!

AT THE REVS: Give Local York will be utilizing the newly-branded WellSpan Park for the interview home base on May 4 & 5. The opening home York Revs game of the season will be that Friday, and you set up a booth at the stadium!
The concert finale will be returning to the Square where First Friday events will be returning and you can hang out there, too! Sign up for a spot either downtown for First Friday or at the Revs game.

YORK365: And if you're planning your own events, please submit them on York365.com - our GLY Event home! The Cultural Alliance has created a "Give Local York" category on York365.com so all of the Give Local York events submitted to date are appearing there. Head there, make an account (or log in to your old one) and submit your event for May 4 & 5, 2023. Make sure you tag Give Local York as a category.
Making a Facebook event? Please DO NOT CALL IT Give Local York. Please call it something specific to what you're doing to cause less confusion to folks searching for the main details for Give Local York. Here are some tips on making a great Facebook event.

Share your story for spotlight posts
This year, for Give Local York participant spotlight posts, we'll be inviting you to share what projects you funded with last year's GLY money or if you're new this year, what you plan on doing with this year's funds. And if you have them, a photo of those funds in action.

Yes, it's OK if the funds went toward general operations. Tell us how that helps you and your clients.

Rather than making generic “support” posts for all 300 participants, we will only be spotlighting organizations who submit their info to us via this form by March 31.

Submit Your Story

Starting with Give Local York 2023, our preferred method for Give Local York payouts to participating organizations will be through ACH transfers.

Due to fee changes with our Quickbooks account, organizations that choose or require a paper check for payouts will be assessed a $1.50 fee, beginning in 2023.

To that end, we are requesting that you share your ACH and Bank Account info with us now so that we can get things in place for Give Local York 2023. If you recall, you already share this information with GiveGab for deposit of your day-of online donations. We are unable to access your information through GiveGab's secure system and so are requesting it again here.

The ABC27 30-Second Challenge is back!

Send us your best elevator pitch! Make a 30-second commercial for your organization and let the world know why they should support you during Give Local York. All submitted videos will be featured on Give Local York social media, ABC27’s website and the Give Day Livestream.

The Top 10 videos (as selected by committee) will have their organization invited to appear on Good Day PA and have their video shown on-air in April. See last year's winners.

Submit by April 5!
