Thank You from BAAITS

Thank you for making the 12th Annual BAAITS Two-Spirit Powwow a huge success! With nearly 4,000 in-person attendees (and 3,000 more on YouTube), 200+ dancers at grand entry, 4 drums, 60 vendors, 4 food vendors, and 6 information tables from community-based organizations, we were overjoyed to see everyone come together again for another transformative powwow week. And we're working on more events throughout the year, so stay tuned for some exciting announcements to come!

Some of our 2023 Powwow events were live-streamed and are now available to watch on our YouTube channel. Please enjoy a few of these incredible experiences we shared together, including the full-day powwow!

Help Us Reach our Goal?

We're so close! We've made over 70% of our fundraising goal for this year's powwow.

Can you help us reach our final goal to cover the remaining costs, as we begin to organize for 2024's powwow? Thank you for your continued support and consideration!

Please join us March 24th, 5:30 - 8:30 PM, as we celebrate the first official American Indian Cultural District Town Hall and their Three-Year Anniversary Celebration. The Town Hall is open to the public and will feature updates on AICD's 2023 events and priorities, and provide opportunities to get involved in AICD initiatives, such as the Cultural Heritage Housing Economic Sustainability Strategies Report (CHHESS) and the first San Francisco American Indian Historic Context Statement!

Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) is an all-volunteer organization that exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirit people within the American Indian/First Nations community by creating a forum for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people. To that end, BAAITS is committed to offering culturally relevant activities for LGBTQ+ individuals of Native American ancestry and their families and friends.
