Supporting Ageing with Confidence, Independence
and Good Health

While there are a multitude of barriers impeding the prevention of shingles among older Canadians, one of the most significant challenges continues to be lack of awareness. This Shingles Awareness Week (February 27 - March 5), the National Institute on Ageing (NIA) is sharing a variety of resources on the topic to help educate older Canadians on the health effects of shingles infections and the important role vaccination can play.

The National Institute on Ageing and Sinai Health have produced a guide outlining why vaccines are important to enable healthy ageing.
  •  Why Vaccines Are Important to Enable Healthy Ageing
  •  COVID-19 Vaccine
  •  Influenza Vaccine (Flu Shot)
  •  Pneumococcal (Pneumonia) Vaccine
  •  Shingles Vaccine
  •  Tetanus and Diphtheria Vaccine
