We know that grief ebbs and flows so wherever you find yourself in this moment, we hope that there is peace and comfort on the horizon. You are receiving this email because we have seen an increase in children interested in attending our Survivors of Suicide Loss group and we are looking to bridge some of the gaps within the group.
We understand how intimidating it can be to enter into a new space, especially one revolving around grief and loss, but it is even more challenging when you look around and don't see anyone "like you". We recognize that there are often missing resources for children often leaving them as "forgotten grievers". One of the resources we'd really like to bring back is a children's SOS group. Based on our files, it looks like you and your family have encountered a loss to suicide and we would like to gauge your children's interest in attending group if other kids are there.
If there are any other resources that you would find helpful for your children and or family, please let us know! Our goal is to support you and it is a lot easier when we know what the needs are. At the end of the day, please know wherever you and your family are in your grief processes, you are seen, heard, and your grief matters.
