New consultation launched
The Commission is consulting on three proposed changes to our requirements on gambling businesses.
The proposals include extending the requirement to participate in the remote multi-operator self-exclusion scheme (GAMSTOP) to all licensees that make and accept bets by telephone and email, introducing an LCCP requirement to report deaths by suicide to the Commission, and a technical update to references to Payment Services Regulations.
Blue Star Planet Limited, trading as 10Bet, will pay £620,000 after a Commission investigation revealed social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures.
The operator – which runs 10bet.co.uk – will pay the money as part of a settlement with the Commission.
