Swan Maxi Series 2023 - RORC Caribbean 600
Antigua - Start on February 20th, 2023
The 14th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 featured close competition throughout the 70-boat fleet. Nearly 600 crew from 30 different countries raced the ‘600, which is now well established as the ‘must-do’ offshore race in the Caribbean.

The Nations League - Swan Croatia Challenge
Split (CRO) - April 25-29, 2023
The 2023 One Design action begins with the ClubSwan 36 class returning to Split for the Swan Croatia Challenge hosted by ACI Sail. The fleet had its debut there in 2022 at the season-ending European Championship and this year’s Challenge has already attracted 15 entries. The event marks the first of the seven regattas which make up The Nations League.

Shahid Hamid and his adventurous family of boys have been owning and sailing various cruising boats and racing them from as far back as the 1990’s: “We are a strong family unit”; says Hamid; “the children qualified in the Ionian Sea as teenagers and further progressed, first with tidal water training in the sometimes freezing Solent, then in warmer climates, negotiated the Bay of Biscay, before years of Mediterranean and Riviera regattas. Nazca 2 is an exceptionally well-maintained example of the Swan 82 semi-raised saloon (S) series that has been lovingly cared for and constantly refitted and improved. SWAN 115 – 001 Solleone is undergoing generator overhauls.
The Welding and Fabrication team, together with Systems and Equipment in-house departments at NSGS Badalona Yard have been in charge of disassembling two generators onboard; this is the first time that the generators have been removed from a SWAN 115.
The goal is to overhaul and rebuild the generators and give them an extra 10.000+ hours of service.
We will follow the jobs done onboard SOLLEONE and keep you updated. If the disassembly works have been so interesting, just think about the job of putting them back in place!

Swan 82 Stay Calm
Swan 82-003 Stay Calm, had been moved inside the NSGS Badalona yard shed for her winter maintenance jobs.
This shed allows the team at NSGS to be able to work inside under a proper roof for specific jobs. A 35m length and 15m widths allow a wide range of Sailing Yachts to enter into our shed by travel lift.

Swan 65 Saida
SWAN 65-005 SAIDA is a Sparkman & Stephens Swan built on November 1973 and owned by racing lover Jurg Schneider, who has defined Saida as “safe, fast and a beautiful sailing yacht”. Now, Saida faces a big refit in NSGS Badalona Yard, preparing the boat for the 2023 races including an Atlantic crossing.
The refit includes an engine overhaul in the systems area,. This has involved disassembling the engine and liftin it with the crane.

Now it is back at the Perkins Engines authorized service centre to add more hours of service. This year it is Saida’s 50th anniversary, stay tuned on social media because it is an event to celebrate!
