Google Docs Phishing Comments

A new phishing tactic has emerged; attackers are using the comments feature of Google Docs to send phishing messages.  These attacks are challenging to prevent at the moment since the comment appears to come from Google. Zoom.lbl.gov is the central repository for all Zoom services and resources, including training videos and frequently asked questions. IT recently refreshed the look and feel of the Zoom website so it’s easier to find what you need.

Effective Hybrid Events: Lab Conference Rooms

Finding and reserving the right space is the first step in running effective hybrid meetings and events. IT Audio Visual (AV) Services provides support for public conference rooms at Berkeley Lab. A conference room is considered “public” when it is open to anyone at the Lab to reserve via Google Calendar. 

🛈 Tip: Reserve public conference rooms through Google Calendar using the Rooms tab.

Exciting new changes have recently been announced for Google Workspace. The significant updates will further enhance workflows and save time with repetitive tasks. Intelligent Antivirus Protection with CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike Falcon is Berkeley Lab's official antivirus system. CrowdStrike uses AI/ML-powered threat intelligence, behavioral analysis, and machine learning algorithms to detect and prevent cyber attacks in real-time. Sophos Antivirus will be discontinued in July 2023. Download CrowdStrike from software.lbl.gov to make the switch today.

Join Public AI Lectures at UC Berkeley

UC Berkeley is hosting a series of public lectures this spring, speaking to seven of the world’s leading experts on AI to address the possibilities and implications of artificial intelligence technology. The series will feature John Schulman, a co-founder of OpenAI and the primary architect of ChatGPT, who will discuss the program’s evolution on April 19.
