The hedge dogs
That's a diamond squid if you wondered
This morning I got up after just 4 hours of sleep. I definitely didn't plan for that. Perhaps it was due to my late night run in barefoot shoes. Perhaps it's the spring light, maybe I've just slept too much the last week...

In any case, I've put my morning hours to good use, first practicing Mandarin, then going for a 2 mile walk in the morning sun plus working out in my usual outdoor gym in a nearby park. After an ice cold shower, I've done some editing on the Just One book, but I won't share any of that today. I got stuck again on the topic of processes vs targets, when I had planned to move forward to talking about pains and gains.

However, while writing about (any dumb) action leading to more (useful) action, I came to think about how to best use my 14 hours of video material from the investing course I held for students at London Business School exactly one year ago. Are you interested in watching them? And more?

Do you want to join the Investing Course for free?
A few weeks ago I received a short (one minute) video edit based on my long format interview on The Curious Worldview with Ryan Hogg. The edit was made by this guy.

It's just me talking about whether young people should get an education or not. Unfortunately my hedge fund Antiloop doesn't have a marketing budget, and I'm not sure what marketing style we'll use when that time comes. However, the edit clearly demonstrated the power of a good edit.

A year ago I held a series of lectures for students at London Business School. It's six sessions of around 2 hours each, for a total of some 14 hours. In it I go through the most important bits of my upcoming Investing Course. The material is good as it is, both my content and the Q&A sessions. However, the material would be even better with clever and inspired editing.

So, if you think the video edit above was something you could have made, and you're interested in accessing the LBS video material for free plus get a free Investing Course life time membership, please get in contact with me.

I'm thinking first and foremost of adding simple floating texts and images to the video, but also any other effects that would make the material easier to follow and understand, not least keep the student awake. I also like the way Rafael edited in pictures and videos to emphasize the points I was making. I also think making it into 100-150 succinct and focused videos around 5-10 minute each would make for much better organizing and viewing the material.

Perhaps use some additional voice overs that I or you could record. Perhaps links between the videos in their end screens...

I'm sure a creative person like you would have much better ideas than I can come up with. So, if you think you're the right person for 1) making it easier to watch , 2) making the videos more pedagogical, 3) more pleasing to watch, 4) fun?, 5) albeit still clean, professional, non-nonsense, and 6) you really want access to the material before everybody else, actually co-creating it; then reply to this e-mail.

Kind regards,

/Sprezza

P.S. This is just one (more)
P.P.S. Two recent interviews in English: Kook Jester and Curious Worldview
P.P.P.S. The English version of The Investing Course (www.finanskursen.se in Swedish) should be done by April or May, so keep a lookout if you're interested in investing and finance. The first year will be about half price for a skeleton course but will give access to the expanded full-price material in the future
