Youth in Action - Sprouts for the Future 🌱

Transformative learning experiences for pupils, educators, and school communities in the field of ecological regeneration.

Building o the experience of the successful Twinning Regenerative Educators Project, we are excited to announce the launch of a new project that prioritizes ecologic solutions as a next step and implements suitable technologies based on the concrete needs of schools. Through a combination of a "learning-by-doing: approach and the support of dedicated experts, GEN will guide five schools from February 2023 to May 2024 in implementing ecological solutions on their school campuses, turning them into local demonstration sites, enabling transformative learning and opportunities for others to replicate similar projects.

Click here to read more about the full project journey and the schools involved. Stay tuned for more updates to be spotlighted in this newsletter as the project unfolds.

Kincentric Leadership: Weaving humanity back into the web of life 🪶

Our vision is a future in which everyone knows that we are part of an intelligent, living Erath.

The Kincentric Leadership Project aims to lay the foundations for a new paradigm of leadership grounded in kincentric ecology. The 18-month leadership programme, led by Anna Kovasna and Justine Huxley, draws on indigenous wisdom, science and nature connection.

Through public events, talks and workshops and in partnership with St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace, we aim to ensure that leaders from all walks of life know in their bones that we are part of an intelligent, living Earth and have the ability to build kinship with all life into their responses to the polycrisis. We want to ensure those leading into the challenges ahead are ready to tackle root causes and to help to re-weave humanity back into the wider web of life.

Our vision is a future in which everyone knows that we are part of an intelligent, living Earth.

DIVE DEEPER

Ecovillage Resilience +2.5° Dives Deeper

The Ecovillage Resilience +2.5° Project continues in its second year. In the coming months, all GEN Regions and 20 ecovillages from 19 countries are going deeper into exploring our communities as social-ecological systems, the local and global impacts of severe climate change, and the capacities we can nurture as individuals and communities to build inner and social resilience in the face of the polycrisis.

Come along on our journey...

We are currently listening to ‘A Web of Relationships’ with Dr. Elizabeth Sawin, and creating systems maps of our communities by hosting local workshops like this. Feel free to use it as a model for creating your own!
