YOU READY?!?

We’re now less than a week away from our time together on Le Bellot, <<First Name>>!

We were so happy to see so many of you on Sunday’s Zoom Meetup. Lots of great questions all around. Thank you for attending.

A Few Reminders for March 7:

  • If you’ve purchased an Amstar transfer from the Radisson or Park Inn to Le Bellot, you’ll want to have checked out from the hotel and be outside at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. That will give you enough time to place your bags on the coach and check in with the Amstar representative. As a reminder, the journey from San José to Le Bellot in Puntarenas is approximately 100km (62 miles).
  • If you have any issues that need to be communicated to Amstar (regarding the March 7 transfer, airport transfers, pre-cruise excursions, etc.), please email them directly at groupscr@amstardmc.com.
  • Once you arrive at the pier, you'll receive your Health Questionnaire (for those arriving on our transfers, you'll complete this form on the coach).
  • After completing the questionnaire, you'll hand over your tagged bags to the porters at the pier entrance. You can download and print a PONANT luggage tag HERE. If you're already traveling and can't print a tag(s), extras will be available at the pier. Once you hand over your checked bags, they will be wiped down as part of PONANT’s Covid protocols and will then be taken to your room (you can expect them within a couple hours).
  • You’ll want to keep the following in-hand (or easily accessible in your carry-on bag): Your Completed Health Questionnaire; Your Passport; Your Proof of Covid Vaccination & (at least 1) Booster: Original Vax Card, Photo of Original Vax Card, eRecord; Your Credit Card.
  • The walk from the pier entrance to Le Bellot is approximately 500 meters.
  • When arriving at the ship, you'll first meet the PONANT Medical Team outside and show them your Proof of Covid Vaccination & Booster. You'll also give them your completed Health Questionnaire.
  • After being cleared by the Medical Team, you'll board Le Bellot and hand over your Passport, take your security photo, register your credit card (We encourage everyone to register a credit card for incidentals when checking in. If you don’t do that, you’ll hear from PONANT repeatedly later on in the cruise until you do. Trust us... it’s easier to just handle this at check in.), and receive your room key.

Be In the Know:
  • Le Bellot will be docked at Puntarenas Inicio del Paseo de los Turistas, Costado de antigua Capitania Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
  • Check in begins at 3pm sharp.
  • Rooms are scheduled to be ready at 3pm, so you should be able to go directly to your room/suite immediately after check in.
  • All aboard is 5pm.
  • Our mandatory lifeboat drill will take place at 5:30pm.
  • Immediately following the lifeboat drill, please head to the Theater for our “Life Onboard” session. The Theater is located on Deck 3 Fwd.
  • Open seating dinner is available at both The Grill (Outdoors, Deck 3 Aft) and Le Nautilus (the Main Restaurant on Deck 4 Aft) from 6:30-8:30pm.
  • After "Life Onboard," our first Solo & Single Travelers Meetup will take place in the Observation Lounge (Deck 6 Fwd), followed by dinner together in Le Nautilus.
  • Our first Expedition Forum: Introduction to Rainforests will take place in the Theater at 9pm. This session will provide essential knowledge for tomorrow’s opening trek.
  • Our THIS IS ME Welcome Cocktail Party will take place in the Main Lounge (Deck 3 Aft), immediately following the Rainforest session.

We’re so excited to see you face-to-face on March 7 (if not before around San José). Safe travels to Costa Rica!
