Preparing for Kairos Prison Ministry:
Prayers Needed

CCA Deacons Greg Malley and Kirk Duffy along with member Roy Paul will be participating in a Kairos Prison Ministry weekend at Coastal State Prison from March 16 - March 19. There is an opportunity for you to support the team members, who come from multiple churches in Savannah, and the inmate participants.

We are requesting that each of you commit to praying for the success of the weekend. There is a sign-up sheet in Hebron Hall where you can indicate your preferred time and date. For the weekend, all prayer commitments are linked together in a chain and displayed to the participants. It is a powerful reminder to them that people THEY DON’T KNOW are praying for them. The last opportunity to sign up will be Sunday March 12.

CATECHESIS
A Note from Liz Albert
Did someone say Sermon on the Mount?
“We will begin studying The Sermon on the Mount Tuesday at 9:15, March 21. This Precept inductive study can be ordered at Precept.org or by calling 800-763-8280. The study may be ordered in NAS or ESV.

The Sermon on the Mount has been called “The Greatest Sermon Ever Preached” AND “The Constitution of the Kingdom” AND “Jesus’ Ordination Sermon for His Disciples.” The study touches on prayer, giving, fasting, anger, marriage, worry, judging others, false prophets, and the authority of Jesus. Please pray about joining us as we take a look at the inner fabric of believers in Christ then and now!

A BOUNTY-O-BABY BOTTLES
Update from Valerie Hanks

“Amy Sottile, from The Savannah Care Center, stopped by CCA to pick up 83 baby bottles from our congregation, with a total of $3, 858.79 given…WOW! As you can see from the photo, the bin of baby bottles was so heavy Amy needed help carrying it out to her car! Praise God for these generous donations from all who participated! Super giant THANK YOU to CCA member, Cecilia Clements for her ongoing volunteer work with The Savannah Care Center and for coordinating this effort! Amazing!
CCA is proud to support groups that support LIFE and will be donating $1,000 to The Savannah Care Center and $1,000 to Thrive ministries.

Did you forget to bring your baby bottle? No problem, we will happily accept them in the church office.”

MISSIONS
Dear Friends,

You may remember in September of 2022 CCA was visited by Bishop Abraham Yel Nhial of the Anglican Diocese of Aweil in South Sudan.  Bishop Abraham visited us after being a featured speaker at New Wineskins.  He is asking us to help him and his wife Daruka to attend the Global Anglican Futures Conference (GAFCON) in Kigali, Rwanda from April 17 to 26, 2023.

Donations are needed for travel, accommodation, and expenses.  He has raised $1,000 already and needs an additional $2,400. He didn’t attend last year's Lambeth conference because he is a supporter of the orthodox and faithful GAFCON. Bishop Abraham conveys his greetings and thanks to his brothers and sisters in Christ at Christ Church Anglican.

To support him, please make a donation through
Sunrise Sudan for Abraham Nhial Ministry (Aweil).

Thank you for your consideration and support,

Fr. Craig
