BeaconArts Artist Potluck
First off, we'd like to give a huge thanks to everyone who joined us on Saturday at our first Artist Potluck. We had such a special time at the Ethan Cohen Gallery in the KuBe Art Center here in Beacon. It was so fun to connect with you all and see some amazing art! A special thank you to Ethan Cohen for hosting and to Joseph Ayers for managing the details. The next BeaconArts Member Meet-up is on Wednesday, March 22
It's been awhile since our last member meet-up, and we miss you! Our next Member Meet-up is happening on Wednesday, March 22 from 7pm - 9pm at Industrial Arts Brewing, 511 Fishkill Ave. in Beacon. Member meet-ups are a great opportunity to connect with the BeaconArts community, find out about new happenings around town, and share your creative events and updates with fellow creatives and art lovers. Hope you can make it!

It's the time again! Second Saturday is happening in Beacon on Saturday, March 11. Come out and enjoy the local galleries and businesses for an evening. We added a Second Saturday listings section to our site for easy reference.

Art Workshops and Artist Talks at the KuBe Art Center March 10-12
Ink Painting from Life: Master Class with Artist Gan Yu March 10-12
Amazing art workshop alert! Our friends over at Ethan Cohen Gallery and KuBe Art Center are hosting a live figure painting workshop, taught by Prof. Gan Yu, PhD. This course will teach students how to paint the human body with ink, paper and brushes, and explore techniques to capture movements and illustrate the elegant rhythms of body gestures. Expect to learn modern ink-and-brush painting skills like experimenting with line effects, ink washes, textures and more. Artist Talk with Ron English in KuBe Art Center's Main Theater, Sunday March 12 at noon
On stage in the KuBe Theater, Ron English presents a slide lecture of his oeuvre and artistic evolution. From the secret history of Beacon Bigfoot, to his modern interpretations of Picasso’s Guernica, English discusses the past, present and future of Post-Modern Popaganda. This event is free and open to the public.
