Women – Tuesday evenings 7pm at Threshold. Men – Alternating Wednesday evenings at 6:30 at Threshold beginning January 4. Singles (25+) – 1st and 3rd Mondays at Threshold. Adult fellowship – Stump the Pastors on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in the Threshold sanctuary.
Prayer Team Meeting
Beginning in February, the Prayer Team will be meeting every Sunday from 9:00-9:30 in the nursery. They welcome anyone who is interested in joining them in a time of prayer for Threshold as we begin this new season of searching for a pastor.
Building our PNC Prayer Wall
As we support our PNC (Pastor Nominating Committee) through prayer, let's become a PNC (Praying Non-stop Church)!
This week our prayer focus verses will be on the subject of listening to our God, because God is speaking. The question is, are we listening? As Christians we have to choose what to listen to and what we look at each day. We have to choose what enters our minds and hearts. Please consider using the following section of Proverbs this week as you intercede for the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC), Pastor Dori, and for all the members of our Church:
Consider the following verses:
Proverbs 4: 20 – 24 “My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”
What are we listening to each day? Are choosing to listen God’s word? Notice that the word of God enters our hearts through what we listen to and what we look at, by what our minds our focused upon.
Pray this week for the PNC, for Pastor Dori, and for our congregation that we would all be attentive to listen to God. I guarantee that if you read his word and pray for God to speak, he will. There are so many things that compete for our attention. Let us all pray for each other that we will focus our ears, and our eyes, and our minds on the things of the Holy Spirit.
Oh God, may the holy wind of your Spirit that brings revival be pleased to blow through Threshold Church.
Let us not miss the glory of God as He moves among us. Amen
Every winter through the months of December - March, we feed and house 8 homeless men at the church. It is an amazing opportunity for you to bless and be blessed! If you are interested in volunteering, please use this link to sign up. We will also be having an informational meeting on November 6th in the cafe after church for those who would like more information.
If you can't volunteer you can help by donating the following items:
Winter hats
Winter gloves/mittens
Socks (white is preferred)
Belts/Shoes
Sweatpants
Hand warmers
Toiletries
A few additional notes:
All volunteers will be required to wear masks while volunteering.
Set up will start at 4pm. Dinner will need to be delivered by 5:30pm. Breakfast needs to be delivered by 7am. Lunch needs to be delivered Saturday night.
