Events in local sustainability this March
Farm days

Spring is on its way (sort of...) and there are lots of preparations to make.

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

The poultry enclosures need moving to fresh grass every week.  We still have some compost to turn and we need to prepare our runner bean bed, as well as continue to weed all our raised beds.  We will start sowing seeds in the polytunnel to plant out later in the year.

Spring is on its way - weeding raised beds
The building company, Tilbury Douglas, which is developing the old Damers school for the hospital, is trying to recycle as much as they can from the site, rather than dump stuff in landfill, so they have brought us some tables for the polytunnel, to replace our rickety old ones.
