Stainless Steel Tryke™
Our three-caster Tryke™ was designed to move very heavy loads with minimal force and ergonomic ease. It provides smooth, uninterrupted, free-flow swivel, allowing for weighty cargo to be moved with the push of a finger.
Now, we’ve taken it to a whole new level by creating a Tryke in stainless steel.
Our customer in the food production industry needs to move loads of 10,000 lbs. in a clean and sanitary environment. We knew that the Tryke was the ideal solution because minimal exertion is required to maneuver casters from the lead to the trail position and more weight can be moved with less effort.
It was also clear that stainless steel was critical to meeting the demands of the environment. The entire Tryke is produced using work-hardened, electro-polished, de-magnetized and de-burred SAE 304 stainless steel. All bearings components and welds are in stainless steel. The plate has been reinforced with a stress bar to prevent any bending.
This stainless steel Tryke features three kingpinless Tornado casters. There is a side lock brake on the forward-facing caster. Casters are equipped with 6” x 2” NyRoll wheels made from high-impact, high-quality nylon. NyRoll was the perfect wheel choice because it is resistant to corrosion, oils, fats, most alkalis, soaps and detergents.
In developing this innovative caster creation, we used the complete resources of our fully integrated manufacturing facility in Toronto. The stainless steel Tryke is the product of North American ingenuity and the castersmithing you can only find at Algood.
