This week at Westwood:
It's Ash Wednesday! Come and get your ashes to-go on Wescoe Beach 11:30-1p and/or during our Ash Wednesday worship service 7-8p after our Wednesday night meal. On Thursday at 5p, we're having a pop-up on stress relief, featuring a guest speaker! Afterward on Thurs, for max stress relief, join us for grilled cheese and tomato soup 6-7p. Don't forget our Sunday worship carpool, where we'll be attending the downtown FUMC service (Pastor Susan is preaching!) and also Pizza and Pastors on Monday, 2/27!
Ash Wednesday - 2 Options!
Mark the beginning of Lent in one of two ways (or both!) Join us for worship at 7p Wednesday evening for a special Ash Wednesday service. (Come early for coffee at 5p and dinner at 6p! This week's menu is 'Breakfast for Dinner'!)

No time for worship this week? Meet us on Wescoe Beach during Blessings on the Go, Wednesday, 11:30-1p, for the imposition of ashes by Pastor Dan and Pastor Susan.

Thursday Pop-Up
Reduce Stress with Mindfulness!
Learn about stress, how it can hijack your mind and body, and what you can do about it through mindfulness and meditation. Learn what happens to our bodies and brains -- our whole being -- during stress and trauma from a scientific perspective. Discover how God provides antidotes. Come away with practices and tools to reduce the effects of stress and trauma. Stay for dinner, too!
Eat Good Menus for
Wednesdays & Thursdays!
Join us for our FREE DINNERS every Wednesday from 6-6:45p and every Thursday from 6-7p because you eat good when you're at Westwood. Vegan and gluten-free options are always available! In addition to food, we'll also have all your favorite hot or iced beverages, including coffee and specialty teas. After dinner on Wednesday, you're invited to stay for worship from 7-8p. Pizza & Pastors is Monday!
You bring the questions and topics, our pastors respond with honesty and openness. Really, ask them anything -- current events, theology, matters of faith, religious practices -- Lent and Ash Wednesday, anyone?...Discussions are lively and the pizza is yummy.  Send us requests for your favorite pie! :-) See you at 6p.
