February 28 Presbytery meeting recap
► We are grateful to First Presbyterian Church of Marianna for their gracious hospitality in hosting the meeting, ensuring every amenity was available for conducting the presbytery's business "decently and in order." From directing parking; to setting up lunch, registration and display tables; to welcoming and registering attendees; to providing a lavish continental breakfast of delectable sweets, juice and fresh fruits and serving a sumptuous lunch of roast beef and sides with banana pudding, the team of volunteers went "above and beyond" to attend to every need. We thank you!
► On behalf of the Bills and Overtures Committee, Presbytery Parliamentarian Rev. Dr. Brant Copeland (HR) presented and explained proposed constitutional amendments approved by the 225th General Assembly for voting by presbyteries. The presbytery approved an omnibus motion containing 22 overtures and separately considered several additional overtures.
