Thank You!
A huge thank you to all who attended the UCLA v Cal community builder/fundraiser on Saturday! We had a great time and UCLA swept the floor with Cal...apologies to the Cal fans who were in the house. There were 46 families and staff in attendance which is great for our first time! Shout-outs to you all for your support...YAY!
Many expressed that they would like to do this again and we will. We are working on setting it up for football season and next year's basketball season. I will keep everyone in the loop as we get close to each season.

February Annual Giving Heart Drive!
Thank you so much to the 10% of parents who have donated to support JAMS PTSA! We'd love to get that number higher, so in the month of February, any family who donates to JAMS PTSA will have a heart with their name hung in the front office. Please show your LOVE to our school staff and students by supporting JAMS PTSA and all of the important programs we support! CLICK HERE TO DONATE ❤
For parents who have already donated, your names will be listed on an Honor Roll of Giving that will also be hung in the front office. Please email jamsannualgiving@gmail.com if you aren't sure if you have donated OR if you have donated but don't want your name listed on our Honor Roll.
Thank you!

Attendance & what to do if your child is absent or leaving early:
ABSENCES
All absences and tardies must be excused by parents or guardians. Parents should report absences via the JAMS website (click on "Find It Fast" and then "Report an Absence"; or click here) or by leaving a phone message at 310-452-2326 x72201. Phone messages should include your child's name, ID number or birthdate, date of absences and a detailed reason for the absence.
LEAVING EARLY
Please let us know first thing in the morning if your child will be leaving school early. You may send your child with a note (to bring to the office before the start of school), fill out the online "Report an Absence" form or leave a detailed phone message at 310-452-2326 x72201. The note/message should contain your child's name, the time they will be leaving, the reason for leaving early and a phone number where you can be reached for verification. If advance notice is not given, please be patient with us as we locate your child and bring them to the office. This is especially important during lunch and nutrition when students are spread out all over campus.
Absences that are not cleared within 72 hours will be recorded as truant. For more information on attendance policies, please visit the JAMS website or refer to SMMUSD's Attendance FAQ page.
