Sunday School
All are welcome to attend this
Sunday as we discuss Jesus "the Resistor".
Everyone begins the service in the
main Sanctuary at 10:30 am and
then, those who wish, move into the
Annex during the worship service for
Sunday School.
Thursday Morning Contemplative Service
Please join us for a short online service every Thursday at 8:00 am. Music, readings, prayers and 10 minutes of silent meditation; and then some conversation if you have the time. Everyone is welcome.

Ash Wednesday
Our Ash Wednesday service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22 in the main worship space. This will be a joint service with Hope United Church.
Please join us for a short reflective service of prayers, hymns and readings as we mark the start of the season of Lent.
Pancake Supper Success
Last (Shrove) Tuesday’s Pancake Supper was a success! It was our first larger
community event at our new location, bringing people together over a great
meal, with 45+ happy guests enjoying the occasion.
It was a fundraiser for the breakfast program at nearby Highland Park Junior
High where once a month we serve the students a solid breakfast (alternating
with other community groups). The exact amount raised will be announced later
this week, as donations are still trickling in.
A warm thank-you to all who helped make it happen and for your financial
contributions. If you missed it and would still like to make a contribution, you
can do so through an e-transfer to donations@stjohnsunited.com, or drop off
a cheque.
Annual General Meeting - Sunday, March 26
The St. John's United Church Annual General Meeting will be held immediately following our worship service on Sunday, March 26. Stay tuned for more details and the 2022 Annual Report.
Spiritual Friends
The Spiritual Friends group meets on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm from September to June on Zoom. New members are always welcome.
We discuss and analyze a variety of topics and ideas each week based on theological themes. A variety of media is used including books, videos, poetry, artwork, and podcasts.
St. John's United Book Club
The St. John's Book Club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month from September to June (with the exception of December).
Our February meeting has been postponed to March due to Ash Wednesday.
