Lessons from Licensing

The email you use to apply for your license is the email that OCP sends notifications to. This includes renewal notifications. If an attorney or a human resources employee used their email address on your application, that is who will receive your notifications. If that is not the person you want receiving your notifications, please contact Licensing.OCP@maine.gov to update your email address.

Compliance Corner

A caregiver card or a Registry Identification Card (RIC) cannot be used in place of a patient card for purchasing medical cannabis or medical cannabis products.

A caregiver can purchase wholesale from another caregiver or dispensary if both parties agree, but that transaction is documented in a different fashion and not on a patient transaction log. As a reminder, RIC holders do not have authorization to make wholesale transactions.
