The aim of this program is to support MediLabSecure beneficiaries to lead initiatives addressing topics in line with the frame and objectives of the project. In this regard, MediLabSecure will fund projects carried out by selected beneficiary members of the Network; for the benefit of MediLabsecure network’s members and beyond.
 

Conditions of the call:

 
The call is open to support the following type of initiatives:

• Organization of training activities on a specific topic, or expertise sharing sessions
• Setting up a network or animation of an existing network of experts
• Development of tools for pathogens or vectors surveillance
• Implementation of actions to improve or to raise awareness on prevention and surveillance of vector-borne diseases

 

Eligibility:

 

• The initiative should address a topic on emerging viral vector-borne zoonoses in line with the scope of the MediLabSecure project.
• The initiative holder should belong to a beneficiary institute of the MediLabSecure network.
• Initiatives covering several MediLabSecure sectors namely human virology, animal virology, entomology, public health and veterinary services will be particularly appreciated
• Research project are not eligible, as the funding instrument of MediLabSecure project funds only ‘capacity building’ actions.

 

Funding criteria

 
The project will fund 3 initiatives up to 15 000 euros.
Eligible costs: personnel costs, subsistence allowances for missions, travel costs, costs associated with implementation of trainings sessions, meetings, small training equipment’s, small materials (laptop, small bench equipment).
Research Equipment are not eligible.
 

Application process 

 
Applications should describe the initiative in a maximum of one page including the objective of the initiative, the scientific rationale, the provisional date as well as the forecast budget. Applications should be accompanied by the applicant’s CV mentioning the Institute and entity of affiliation of the applicant.
Applications are to be submitted to the MediLabSecure Coordination team at medilabsecure@pasteur.fr. Kindly mention as object of the e-mail: “MediLabSecure leadership initiative”.
Applications should be sent before March 31^th 2023.
Selected initiatives will be announced in April 2023.
 

Selection Process 

 
All applications will be reviewed by a committee of MediLabSecure consortium members.
The criteria for the selection will be the quality of the initiative proposed, the benefit for the network and its relevance with the scope of the project.
