ASH WEDNESDAY PRAYER SERVICE
TONIGHT, Ash Wednesday, February 22, we will have a special prayer service starting at 7 PM in the sanctuary. Within the service, clusters of people will take shifts and work their way through the 40 Day Prayer Room. We will conclude the service with worship and bestowing ashes.

BAPTISM MEETING
Each year we celebrate the baptisms of our fellow congregants on Easter Sunday. This baptism typically comes after a few weeks of focused discipleship with a new or beloved mentor. If you are considering baptism, please plan to attend an informational meeting on March 5 at 11:30 AM. Contact Pastor Kathy with any questions.

LENT BEGINS THIS WEEK!
This year for Lent, we want to encourage slowing down and spending time in prayer. We will be offering a 40-Day Prayer Room starting on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd. This will be a quiet, sacred space, with interactive prayer stations to walk through individually or together as home groups or families. It is self-paced. The room will be open the following days/times:
Sunday 2-6 PM
Monday 10 AM-2 PM & 7-9 PM
Tuesday 4-7 PM
Wednesday 7 AM-12 PM
Thursday 10 AM-2 PM & 7-9 PM
Friday 4 PM-9 PM
Saturday 7-11 AM

FOURTH FRIDAY!
Women of Wellspring! Plan on joining us at church at 7 PM on February the 24h. This is a very casual time for women (and Teens!) to gather and share snacks, play games, maybe a craft project, and just fellowship! Any questions, contact Krista.

MISSIONS UPDATE
After the devastating earthquakes that hit Syria and Turkey, the number of those lost has risen to over 40,000. C&MA's Compassion and Mercy Associates (CAMA) Services is currently helping to get aid into Turkey through Alliance church partners while CAMA has been working to get funds into Syria to help Alliance churches purchase aid as they care for the victims of these earthquakes within their church buildings. Wellspring has contributed $10,000 from the basecamp fund to assist in this work.

ROCK PARENTS SAVE THE DATE!
Our 5th/6th grade children will be serving at Feed My Starving Children on Saturday morning, March 11. We will need some help with transportation and serving a continental breakfast. If interested, contact Kim.

INTERNATIONAL WORKER FOCUS

International Worker Focus
Let's lift up Dan & Tammy Wisley serving with Development Associates International in Africa and Asia

Dan and Tammy moved last year from California to Tucson, Arizona, to be closer to family. Living there, they are also excited about relationship developments with their neighbors.

Dan serves with Development Associates International (DAI) facilitating Masters level and non-formal courses for Christian leaders in Africa and Asia. Topics include Spiritual Formation, Conflict transformation, Servant Leadership, Mentoring for Ministry, and Teaching and Learning for Impact. Dan has been taking numerous DAI courses while continuing to facilitate the online part of a Spiritual Formation course and a Conflict Transformation course.

Please praise God and pray for the following with Dan and Tammy.
They write:

Tammy and I are doing well. We feel especially blessed that we can live in Tucson, Arizona to take care of my mom and yet still work full-time with Christian leaders in Asia and Africa. It is always humbling to see how much my encouragement means to these men and women faithfully serving in hard places. I have a number of students in Pakistan who are still working to complete the Spiritual Formation and Conflict Transformation courses that finished in December. Many find it difficult to finish the course material on time on top of their other full-time work. I have begun looking at tickets and visa for my upcoming trip to a country which is becoming more difficult to visit. Please pray that I will be allowed to enter and for a good week in person with a new group of students--to start our year of online study off well.

Overcoming in Confidence

How do we gain confidence to overcome? So often our confidence is sapped by setbacks. We easily dwell on our failures so that overcoming feels like a dream. Yet we are called to confidence (1 John 2:28; 3:21; 4:17; 5:14); 1 John 5:14 spells out the confidence that we have toward God. How do we gain that? We have confidence to overcome setbacks through prayer, the evil one because we are born of God, and idols through our understanding of the true God.
