Three worthless facts about... Comic Books!
- The first comic book featuring an African-American superhero was "The Falcon" in 1969. He first appeared in Captain America #117, and his alter-ego was social worker Sam Wilson.
- The world's largest collection of comic books is owned by Bob Bretall, who has over 101,000 unique comic books. His collection spans more than 70 years of comic book history, and he has spent over 44 years collecting them.
- The word "superhero" was first used in 1917 in an obscure novel called A House Divided by Willard E. Hawkins, long before comic book superheroes as we know them today existed.
