Happy Mardi Gras!
We wish everyone a fun and safe Mardi Gras this weekend! This year is the 45th anniversary of Mardi Gras, and it returns to its home on Oxford St:
Saturday 25 February
6–11pm
Oxford St.
The parade starts at the bottom of Oxford St (near Hyde Park), continues on to Flinders St and Anzac Parade, and finishes in Moore Park. Download the parade route map.
Find out about transport to the parade, parking, road closures and shuttle buses.
You can also watch the parade online on ABCiview.
It's an exciting time to be queer in Sydney, and we should all remember to take the time to care for our community, ourselves, and others.

Fun Fact
World Pride started in 2000, with the first World Pride taking place in Rome. The Vatican was staunchly opposed to the event, and government funding was threatened. Sydney 2023 is only the 8th time World Pride has been held, and it's the first time in the Southern Hemisphere.
