I'm Rolf, and I'm thrilled to have you on board.

As a marketer and creator of all trades, I started this newsletter in 2019 to share apps / tools / sites / articles / blogs that I explore during my work and learning journey. Along the lines of social media, tech, startups, productivity, and more.

My early years online, starting from 1996, were habit-forming. I got hooked on the web and its possibilities: website creation, Flash animations, the Usenet, IRC chat, that kind of stuff.

Professionally, I spent the first 10 years of my career at Microsoft. First part-time, later full-time. When I turned 30, I decided to leave the corporate world. I joined a startup (it did not work out) and launched my digital agency, Fresh van Root, shortly after. We work with tech startups, and a public foundation and usually have long-term relationships with our clients.

The newsletter is still a side project; it might stay that way forever. Readers have all different kinds of job titles - from "digital consultant" to "content marketer" to "social media manager" or "innovation lead"... the umbrella term I use is "Creators of all trades."
