The Junior Project Manager - Communications will support our activities across disciplines, raising awareness of our impact and projects with external and internal stakeholders.

With the theme of “Reconnecting Science and Society”, the 5th Global Science Film Festival (GSFF) will meet the audience on 31 March in Switzerland. As a special global partner, the Swissnex network will introduce the selected films to international audiences in China, India, and Japan for the first time. Followed by the screening, a podium discussion themed “Making Science aAccessible to the Broad Public” will be organized with experts from the respective locations.

In January and February 2023, the Science, Technology and Education (STE) Office at the Swiss Embassy in Beijing, together with Swissnex in China, curated a series of activities in the field of VPET. In addition to positioning Switzerland’s strengths, we particularly leveraged partnerships with Swiss companies who are at the forefront of bringing Swiss-inspired VPET to China via their own skills-focused training programs and education partnerships.

There are many reasons to seize the opportunity to reconnect with China: China moves at an incredible pace and is very ambitious regarding science and innovation; the population is tech-savvy, hyper-adaptive and digitalized beyond Europe’s imagination. To advance bilateral collaboration, Swissnex in China strives to take a proactive role and strategically develop our initiatives around smart nutrition, healthtech and energy & environment. Because both Switzerland and China are well positioned in these areas and have something substantial to contribute. Most importantly, these topics are in the fundamental interest of our planet and humanity.
