Young Adults need more in person connections more than ever. This weekend was a great reminder of the power of connections within the Community of Christ. Young adults need to harness the connections with other young adults to have a reason to engage with the community. The future of the church is dependent on the relationships that are formed at events/retreats like these.

Everyone belongs at the table. However, many don't realize that there is a table to belong to. It was cool to see so many new faces at the retreat this year. Creating more opportunities for people to feel like they belong is important. The retreat was a good insight into that. I am happy to see other events happening such as The Table. It is good for the future of the church/community.

Other than that, I don't remember much else about the retreat other than some of the fun that was had. Totally forget the theme of the retreat ha.

Central Mission Center News:
Get Out & Be The Church!
We have been sharing peace, hope, joy and love with our neighbors through JAM (Jesus and Me) Clubs for more than 20 years.  Together we have made significant impacts on our community, reducing violence, connecting neighbors, providing meals, promoting education, pursuing peace, supporting local schools and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City.
Central Mission Community of Christ currently has 20 volunteers working with 3 boys and girls clubs and more than 140 children.  We need more volunteers to be a part of this life changing ministry!
Can you read a story?  Can you talk with kids? Can you be a listening ear for a child just needing to talk to someone? Then you have the skills we need! The world needs you!  Experience the difference we make together as Community of Christ!
