Project Connect: A Letter from the 2023 Co-Chairs

Thank you to Shannon Turner, Patience Kropp, Terry Schroeder, and all of the organizers for your hard work on this year's Project Connect events! If you have pictures or feedback to share, you can also email admin@kitsaphhc.org

Dear Venders and Supporters,

On behalf of the Project Connect Planning Committee, Patience and I want to thank you for participating in our Project Connect and The Point in Time Count that took place on the 24th, 25th and 26th of January. It was a valuable event for our community and for all our vendors as well. The events brought together a community of dedicated resources and information to help and inform those community members who are low income, elderly and homeless. The events started out a little chaotic but came together gracefully and functioned like we were at a family reunion. This was due to our great leaders Kirsten Jewell and Terry Schroeder who provided the committee with valuable data that helped guide us to a successful event. We would also like to acknowledge the Captains and Victor from the Salvation Army that did a spectacular job as host for the Bremerton area. We would also like to acknowledge Roland and the United Methodist Church for being gracious hosts and supporters for the event. We especially thank Marwan for all his efforts for taking the events live.  Patience and I want to thank each one of you for your valuable efforts and support as we engaged close to 300 community members. This is a great start after being away for two years. This entire event would not be as successful without you, your knowledge and experience in your field shined brightly when you all were engaging the community members.

Patience and I as Co-Chairs want to again thank you for your time and dedication to this event as it was all of you that made this possible. This event showed our community that we are here and that we SEE THEM and that we want to help and provide them with the information and resources that are needed to help provide them with a better opportunity to have a better future. This event showed our community that we can come together and work towards the goal of helping our community friends become wiser and healthier.

Sincerely,
Patience Kropp & Shannon Turner
