Are you a decorating queen (or king)? 👑

This email is for you!

Did you know that every year, paint manufacturers and color experts come together to make “color predictions” for the year ahead? 🎨

These experts hypothesize which colors are going to see a surge in popularity and which colors are likely on their way out.

They then base their paint production around those predictions.

If you are looking to spruce up the interior of your home with a fresh coat of paint and need some color inspo to tackle your project, read on for some expected paint trends to consider ⤵️

In 2023, people are saying goodbye to the more muted colors in exchange for brighter, vibrant colors combined with warm neutrals and earthy tones.

This prediction is based on the idea that people want to feel more connected with the earth and its natural resources as well as feel more grounded and balanced in a post-pandemic world.

Here are 4 shades predicted to be popular in 2023 ⤵️

1️⃣ Forest Greens

Think of any shade of green that parallels nature (moss, sage, trees, grass, etc.). Bring the outdoors inside!

2️⃣ Creamy Whites

Think of a more rich and slightly warmer shade of white compared to the more traditional, neutral shades of white we have seen in the past.

Behr, a popular paint manufacturer, announced their “Color of the Year” to be a warm, creamy shade of white called Blank Canvas.

This popular shade features very slight organic green and brown undertones, which is perfect for those who want to feel that connection to the earth.

3️⃣ Earthy Blues

While cooler, softer blues have trended in the past, these earthy shades of blue are richer, deeper, and cozier.

Think earthy shades of mineral blue rather than sky blue.

4️⃣ Spicy Hues

Not sure which spicy hue is right for your home? Check your spice cabinet!

Experts predict warm shades of cinnamon, smoky paprika, and dry mustard will be popular in the year ahead.

Whether you’re more drawn to the warmer earth tones, the forest greens, or the spicier hues, there are lots of options for you to choose from when you tackle your next project!

(I’m partial to the spicy hues myself. There is something about the more vibrant hues that spark excitement, positivity, and optimism!)
