NFI recaps the VIC’s webinar on MCI and New Flyer service centers
Last week, NFI’s Vehicle Innovation Center hosted a webinar focused on our approach to customer care and how seven fully equipped MCI and New Flyer service centers can meet our customers’ fleet needs.
During the webinar, NFI highlighted the latest service center news and made exciting announcements, including:
- The launch of a new Technical Information Viewer replacing previous access to manuals
- The opening of the Los Angeles Service Center in spring 2023
- The expansion of the Renton, WA facility to a full Service Center in late 2023
- The expected opening of a new Southeast Service Center in 2024
- The launch of a new Oracle-driven repair order system later this year to better serve our customers

Alexander Dennis’ Enviro100EV is in the spotlight in RouteONE magazine
RouteONE magazine covered the high-performance features of Alexander Dennis’ Enviro100EV bus, which is anticipated to debut later in 2023.
Ideally suited for the provincial market, the Enviro100EV is the smallest member in the Alexander Dennis next generation zero-emission bus lineup; it is 8.5m long, 2.35m wide and designed with a door-forward layout. ICYMI: NFI welcomed Vice President Kamala Harris to New Flyer’s St. Cloud facility
Earlier this month, NFI hosted Vice President Harris at the New Flyer St. Cloud facility to showcase its industry-leading zero-emission buses and to discuss how we develop the workforce in the new mobility era.
During the visit, Vice President Harris participated in a tour that included New Flyer Xcelsior CHARGE NG™ battery-electric buses, the most advanced electric bus available in the United States — and saw the assembly of American-made batteries and battery packaging used in New Flyer electric buses.
In an address to NFI team members and special guests, Vice President Harris said, "The electric buses being built in this factory are a model of American innovation and key to the future of public transportation. NFI is an example of the future."

This Saturday, March 4, NFI will recognize the annual World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development ("WED"), proclaimed in 2019 by the United Nationals Educations, Scientific and Cultural Organization ("UNESCO").
