Big Winter Storms: What You Need to Know

With big snow in the 10-day forecast, be prepared for winter conditions. Carry chains and supplies (shovel, food, water, blankets, etc.), keep your phone charged and gas tank full, and take it slow. Before you leave, check the following:

The world’s top male ski racers are headed to Truckee-Tahoe this weekend for The Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup! The host of the 1960s Winter Olympics, Palisades Tahoe is no stranger to international competition and is one of only four U.S. resorts featured on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup circuit. This weekend, they’ll host men’s slalom and giant slalom events on Dog Leg and Red Dog Face. Get ready for the action and a busy weekend with these two guides.

Hot on the heels of the World Cup, the Futures Tour hosted by USASA will come to Northstar California Resort on Feb. 27th - March 3rd. A premiere freeski and snowboard competition, Futures Tour is a stepping stone to the Rev Tour/Nor-am, World Cup, X Games, and Olympic qualification.
