Happy winter's day, Fringers! It may only be February, but we have a lot coming up as we approach the 35th Toronto Fringe Festival. We hope you are staying warm while you learn about all that's going on!

Teen Fringe - Applications open now!

Back by popular demand, applications are now open for Teen Fringe! From Monday July 10th to Friday July 14th, participants will train in acting, dancing, and music, culminating in a final performance on Saturday, July 15th.

This program is FREE for up to 20 teens, thanks to the generosity of All-Star donor Neville Austin.

Deadline to apply is March 31, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

New Young Reviewers Program

Applications are open now for The New Young Reviewers Program. Supported by the Jon Kaplan Legacy Fund, this is a FREE workshop series and writing group for 10 emerging theatre and performance reviewers ages 15 and up.

Led by Signy Lynch (Contemporary Theatre Review, Canadian Theatre Review, Intermission Magazine) and Stephanie Fung (Kingston Theatre Alliance, Canadian Theatre Review, Single Thread Theatre), this program focuses on introducing participants to the basics of theatre reviewing and help them develop responses to Toronto Fringe performances. It also encourages participants to explore new, creative approaches to criticism that are emerging in the field, and to begin to define themselves as critics and reviewers.

Applications are due by March 31, 2023. To learn more and apply, click here.

KidsFest Day Camp - few spots remain!

We have been so thrilled by the reaction thus far to our new affordable KidsFest Day Camp. Spots are filling up fast, so be sure to register your child now! Any late registrations will be placed on a waitlist.

The KidsFest Day Camp will give kids ages 4-11 the chance to be immersed in the world of theatre. Trained staff will lead kids in creative performance-based fun, including improvisation, storytelling, and drama games. All campers will also get to participate in workshops run at the KidsFest Club, and see all four KidsFest shows during the Toronto Fringe Festival for free.

Forward March Break Camp

Our friends at Theatre Direct are offering a March Break camp!
"Over the course of the week, children will embark on an adventure as they create, design and then perform in their own play in the park.
As part of this program, each day campers will be treated to a brand-new site-specific performance being created for our Forward March Festival. Then, at the end of the week, the campers will present their show to festival artists, family and friends."
