Words from Father Ed
Blessings to you who came to Ash Wednesday services to start Lent at St. Patrick's and in the hearts of those who attended.
We prayed on our knees that God will give us the grace to accept forgiveness for our sins and that we may honor that grace with good deeds as our discipline for Lent.
Please note the announcements for the various Lenten worship opportunities.
Our prayers are for all members of St. Patrick's and for their families wherever they may be. Join us in person or on Zoom as we continue our Lenten Prayers for peace in our families, in our church and for our nation. And remember the mission of our church:

"The mission of the church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ."
(from the Catechism, p. 855, BCP)

Bean Counting 101 plus
Join us for a “town hall” meeting on Sunday, February 26, after the service about the parish finances. Have you ever wondered:
  • What are the uses and rules about all the named funds we have?
  • What are all those statements about?
  • How does the vestry ensure that the financial procedures are sound and followed?
The vestry and finance committee will do our best to explain the 2023 budget in detail and answer your questions.  Please email questions you already have to Wendy Wood at wenfenben@comcast.net so we can be well prepared.  We will have a light lunch and then dive in.  Please sign up in the parish hall or email Bobbiejo if you plan to attend in person or via zoom.

Help for Those Dealing with
Grief and Loss

Coping with the loss of a loved one is probably the most difficult challenge any of us may face. If you are struggling with grief and loss, there is help.

You are invited to join the weekly Oakmont Grief Support Group which meets Tuesday mornings from 9:00-10:15 a.m. at 6637 Oakmont Drive, Suite B.

This is an open-ended, drop-in group, led by a local hospice bereavement counselor, Rev. Larry Hallett, known to our St. Patrick’s community.

Come and share with others who are going through similar loss. You are not alone in this journey!  Find strength in community!

For more information, please call (310) 415-6133 or email Larry.Hallett@gmail.com
