Help Us Design YOUR New Public Library
Saturday, March 25th at 9:00-11:30 AM
The Early Children's Learning Center (ECLC)
The Barrington Library Trustees and the Library Foundation are planning a Library Design Input Session. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public input on the plans for a new library, specifically on four key topics: location, exterior design and outside spaces; interior design; sustainability of the facility; and public meeting spaces.

Representatives from the library’s design firm, SMP Architecture, will be present to listen to your ideas, along with the trustees and Foundation board members. Our intent is to provide child care to encourage young families to attend. All ideas and perspectives welcome! Please register here by March 20th so that we can arrange appropriate accommodations for participants.
COVID Tests Available at the Library
Thanks to a generous donation from New Hampshire DHHS, we have free COVID tests available to anyone in the community. No library card and no registration needed. If you are feeling unwell, please call (603) 664-9715 from the parking lot and we will give you the tests through our pick up window. Otherwise, come in and ask for them at the desk. Limit 4 per household, while supplies last.
Interlibrary Loan Items May Be Delayed
Due to weather and staffing shortages at the New Hampshire State Library, we may experience delays in receiving your interlibrary loan materials. We apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know as soon as your items arrive!

The Barrington Conservation Commission and Trails Committee invite you to the Annual Moonlight Snowshoe or hike. Most of the hike will be on a wide woods road, but will also venture into the woods to experience both bright moonlight and the somewhat ‘spookier’ feeling of being in the woods at night. The walking will be easy, with only mild uphills, about two miles in length. Dress warmly in layers and don't forget your yaktrax or microspikes in case of icy conditions. Bring your snowshoes if there's snow. Please leave your canine companions at home.
