The National Land Coalition in the Philippines (NLC Ph) and the International Land Coalition (ILC) Asia jointly express our solidarity with the Dumagat Remontado indigenous community as they undertake the March Against the Kaliwa Dam to urge the Philippine President to put a stop to the Construction of the Kaliwa Dam.

The nine-day foot march took place from the 15th to the 23rd of February, culminating in Malacanang or the Presidential Palace.

Secure Land Rights through Bottom-Up Land Redistribution in Indonesia

One-map policy key to resolving agrarian conflicts in Indonesia
ILC member Indonesian Community Mapping Network (JKPP) recently held a workshop with local governments to push for "One-Map Policy" as a way to resolve agrarian conflicts in the country. JKPP's National Coordinator Imam Hanafi said that the government needs to acknowledge participatory mapping efforts done by local communities and use the data as a baseline.
