Dear Friend,
We are so grateful. People have opened their hearts to the young adults of Hillel and given generously to our Being Jewish Together campaign!
We asked a couple of students to describe their experience with Hillel. Here are their answers:
“Although I went to Jewish schools, I somehow missed out on the joyous aspects of being Jewish. It all felt very rote and uninspired. After high school, I didn’t think I’d continue keeping mitzvos. Somehow I ended up going with a friend to Hillel for Shabbos. It opened up a whole new world to me. I’ve really been enjoying being Jewish and being part of the loving community I found at Hillel.” Josh G., Spring Valley
“In the last couple years, there was a lot of antisemitism at my public high school. I kept my head down and didn’t announce that I was Jewish. But at RCC when I met the Olivers and the students involved with Hillel, I gained more confidence and pride in being Jewish. I also learned a lot more about my heritage. Now I love being Jewish!” Becky S., Nanuet
Please open your hearts to Josh, Becky, and hundreds of other young Jews seeking meaningful connections with their heritage and with one another.
