THE EE BAFTA FILM AWARDS

Last Sunday saw the biggest night in the UK film calendar, as the stars of the screen descended on London’s South Bank for the EE BAFTA Film Awards, and Premier was there in force. Read on to find out more about what we were up to…

Premier handled the PR campaign and media management for the Awards. Extensive campaign coverage resulted from the Longlists revealed at the start of January to the livestreamed Nominations Announcement, to interviews and appearances with the fabulous hosts Richard E Grant and Alison Hammond, and with this year’s BAFTA Fellow - the costume designer Sandy Powell.

BAFTA weekend kicked off with the Nominees’ Party the evening before BAFTA’s legendary red carpet welcomed over 200 nominees, with a staggering 250+ press and photographers covering the Film Awards from the red carpet, backstage winners run and media centre.

Premier’s Personal PR Team had a successful BAFTA this year. Aimee Lou Wood attended as an EE Rising Star Nominee for her breakout performance in ‘Living’. Several Premier clients including Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Lily James, Olivia Cooke, and Rosie Huntington-Whitely, presented awards. Supported by the likes of Valentino Couture, Lancôme, Bulgari, and Paul Smith, Premier clients appeared on several best dressed lists as they enjoyed the evening, moving on to the star-studded parties such as British Vogue and Tiffany’s Fashion and Film Party at Annabel’s.

Premier’s creative team was also out on the BAFTA red carpet, filming interviews with the stars for The British Film Institute and ScreenUK. Premier’s footage was distributed across social media live on the night, and is also forming part of a major government-backed marketing campaign, promoting the UK screen sector to global audiences.
