The Dirt: Find Your Environment Here

The Arizona Institute for Resilience (AIR) has launched Find Your Environment, a brand-new website portal that will connect current and future University of Arizona undergraduates to resilience and environmental educational opportunities across the University. The Find Your Environment portal is a campus-wide service that will be provided and maintained by AIR. Designed for students at all stages in their career paths, the portal organizes over thirty campus-wide resources around the themes of 1) academic programs, 2) experiential learning, and 3) making an impact into one, well-organized and easily navigable resource.

Within the Academic Programs section of the portal, a new primary search tool helps students explore available majors by the resilience and environmental themes and provides convenient links to major and departmental websites so that students can understand degree requirements and plans. Experiential Learning connects students with numerous opportunities to learn by doing, including internships, research opportunities, the Student Engagement & Career Development website, and the class search tool. Additional resources for career development, sustainability tips, and information about student environmental clubs are organized in the Make an Impact section.

UArizona offers myriad diverse, in-depth, and far-reaching opportunities for students to engage with the environment, spanning academic departments and disciplines. The need for easier accessibility to directly connect students to these impactful environmental programs has long been recognized, and AIR is proud to be able to serve the campus community by providing this valuable resource.
