Triage and Support Line Operative
Hours: up to 26.25 hours p/w
Location: Norwich
Salary: £19,690 per annum increasing to £20,130 after a successful probation, FTE

The post holder will work with the Crisis Intervention Team in the Support Line. You will be responsible for providing support to clients with varying mental health needs over the phone and managing referrals into the REST service as and when required. You will play an integral part in assisting an individual during a period of crisis and no two shifts on the support line will look the same!

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will have a caseload of up to 25 clients. You will help support your clients (who are on their mental health recovery journey) to secure and retain paid employment. This may involve supporting your clients with tasks such as searching for local job vacancies, helping them with the CV, cover letter or application form, providing them with interview skills and supporting them once they are in work.

The new post holder will be responsible for aligning the development needs of all staff to meet Norfolk and Waveney Mind strategic direction and values and will support progression pathways and development of the Norfolk and Waveney Mind academy. Responsible for overseeing programme accreditation and ensuring compliance for reaccreditation with external awarding bodies. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing apprenticeships working closely with Norfolk and Waveney Mind colleagues and external providers to ensure full utilisation of the apprenticeship levy and aligning apprenticeships to CPD to ‘meet workforce requirements and build the future workforce across the organisation.

The role of the Community Link Workers will be in conjunction with the CGBL Partnership and Development worker to support the delivery of the Big Local Community plan by meeting, engaging and building relationships with those living, working and volunteering within the Big Local Area, in a range of settings (e.g. cafes, outside local schools, community events and door knocking) to discover what matters to them, what they are passionate about and how they could contribute to help this community flourish and how Big Local may be able to help facilitate that.

Join our small team to help extend and widen the pool of active volunteers who support voluntary and community organisations across Norfolk. Contribute to the development of the Norfolk Volunteer Passport scheme and help Volunteer Passport holders into suitable volunteer roles on completion of their training. Promote volunteering through newsletters, social media platforms, initiating and attending volunteer recruitment events and by giving talks.
