Happy Spring! It is a time of new beginnings. I am pleased to present the "new look" for the Rockville Villages Program! A special thanks to the amazingly talented Sylvia England of the city's graphic arts department for the design and Nick Kanary for technical support.

Lincoln Park's First Village Gathering!
Neighbors of all ages gathered to enjoy getting to know each other while sharing delicious food and drinks. The event was held at the LP Community Center and was co-sponsored by the Lincoln Park Civic Association. Stay tuned for more developments for the village!

King Farm Neighbors Village

The King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) book club will discuss Klara and the Sun, by Kazuo Ishiguro on April 13, 2023 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.for our next book club meeting.

Thanks to those book club members who volunteered to lead book discussions.
We have reserved the King Farm Community Center, 300 Saddle Ridge Cir, Rockville, MD 20850, for our in-person meeting of the KFNV Book Club. In accordance with policy adopted by the KFNV Board of Directors, people attending KFNV sponsored in-person events must be vaccinated according to the Centers for Disease Control COVID recommendations. Wearing a mask is currently optional.
The KFNV coordinates services such as friendly visits, check-in phone calls, social events, health and safety events and transportation.

The village is planning a community butterfly garden! It will be an opportunity for East Rockville villagers of all ages to come together and roll their sleeves up for the beautification of the neighborhood! Stay tuned for details about an invasive plant pull and native seed planting later this spring.
The Cookie Brigade is still baking and delivering cookies to new East Rockville neighbors. Contact us if you have a new neighbor. It is a great way to welcome our newest residents.

Over 25 villagers braved the cold for a fascinating historical walking tour of the Town Center area! A special thanks to Ralph Buglass for leading them through the stories beneath the buildings they now call home.

West Rockville Connects Village

The West Rockville Connects Village seeks to build a welcoming, diverse, and intergenerational network of neighbors to support each member of the community at any stage of life.
The village steering committee is making huge strides in the development of the village! Thanks to the crackerjack tech team, they have a website, they are developing "New Neighbor" welcome bags and planning a big spring event!
At their meeting on Saturday, March 18, they discussed the ideas for some fun gatherings for the spring. Stay tuned!

The village is made up of neighbors from Fallsmead, Rockshire, Carter Hill, Glenora, Watts Branch and surrounding areas.
Wootton's Mill Village is committed to fostering a sense of community through friendship, volunteerism, and support to neighbors of all ages.

RAVE recently received a City of Rockville community grant to help Rockville developing villages further their progress! RAVE also supports Montgomery County villages with other funding sources.
RAVE (Rockville Area Village Exchange), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, secures public and private funds to support our neighbors in establishing and maintaining volunteer neighborhood-to-neighborhood village networks to enrich the lives of residents within Rockville and Montgomery County.
