Dear <<First Name>>,

Thank you to everyone who joined our AGM last week - it was a really creative and energising afternoon and we really loved being able to get together as a community.

A huge thanks to those of you who joined as volunteers and committee members or who pledged to do something to help the park!

More details to come soon. In the meantime, here’s one way you can get more involved now.

Please join us on Tuesday morning from 10-12.30pm with Glendale and Lewisham Council parks team for our first practical woodland volunteering session!

We will be planting native tree saplings from the Mayor of London and discussing the rewilding plans to help restore and improve the woods.

All are welcome and we would love to see you there! More details below.

NEW - Woodland volunteering sessions!

Starting this Tuesday 21 March, 10am-12.30pm

Join us, Glendale and Lewisham Council parks team for our first practical woodland work session - we will be planting native tree saplings from the Mayor of London and discussing the rewilding plans to help restore and improve the woods.

This first session includes a walkround to look at the six possible new Rewilding projects in development to help restore and improve the ancient woods and wildlife in Forster Park.

It is part of the legacy from the park’s centenary in 2022 - and one of our top 4 priorities for this year.

We’re grateful to our friends at the Hither Green Community Association for securing the trees and to some of our volunteers who will be bringing the first of our oak saplings grown from Forster Park acorns!

All welcome. Meet at the cafe for 10am, we’ll start with walkround, followed by tree planting from around 11am in the fields by the bottom Whitefoot Lane entrance. Join for as much as you are able to. Tools and gloves will be provided but please bring your own if you would like.

Let us know if you’re planning to come by simply replying to this email.
