I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. I am writing with a quick update regarding happenings on Beacon Hill and around the district. If you have any questions about information mentioned in this email, or any other matters you’d like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office.
First, I am excited to announce that I have been appointed Chair of the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities. I am grateful to Speaker Mariano for entrusting me with this role. I look forward to working on issues across the Commonwealth that impact some of our most vulnerable residents. Specifically, as a father of two, the importance of this role and the well being of our children, their families, and people with disabilities is not something that is lost upon me.
I also wanted to let you know of some logistical changes. I recently moved offices, and while we are still located in suite 146, the office in the suite has changed. Now, when you walk into suite 146, you will take a right through the door labeled “Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities”. Additionally, our office’s new phone number is (617) 722 -2011.
Lastly, I recently added a tab on my website, “How Can Jay Help?” that I hope will allow my constituents to better reach our office for any state issues you might be experiencing. To access this page, click here or go to this website: “https://www.jaylivingstone.com/how-can-jay-help”. As always, if you do not have access to a computer or do not feel comfortable submitting your information through this platform, you can contact my staff via telephone at the number listed above.
These pictures are from a Women's Bar Association event at the State House last week. I was honored to join them and discuss my #ProtectedAtWork bill (HD3239: An Act relative to employment protections for victims of abusive behavior).
